Should the gamer have the right to enjoy a game he spent 60$ on?
Should an artist have the right to create whatever he wants?
Forbes writers can't seem to agree about Sekiro shadow die twice, The American business magazine covers most of the world industries and are respected outlet on a number of topics, one of the industries they cover is the video game industry, meaning they put out reviews triple-A games and sometimes have insights into the business side of a game.
One they have been recently talking about is largely beloved Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
In Forbes review in progress by Erik Cane, he says "I think sekiro may be one of the best games ever made, but it is not going to be for everyone"
The reviews acknowledges how difficult the game is and that not everyone can get behind it, one these peoples seem to be Cain's fellow Forbes journalist freelancer Dave Their.
In a article titles ( Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice needs to respect its player and add an easy mode )
Fear lements the game's lack of widespread accessibility and how it forces player to play n a different way.
Before I even came to this article, the original reviewer retaliates it, in direct response Cain wrote a piece called ( No, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice does not need an easy mode ) he specifically counts of how many arguments about easy mode would be beneficial instead highlighting that it would be detrimental to the game.
Their believes that players should be allowed to play how they want and the developers From Software should accommodate this, He says that it would be completely optional so the core experience would not be devoted for the fans who would not use the easy mode.
On the other hand, he arguments that the easy mode would be damaging to the newcomers experience more than anyone because they would be missing the true appeal of the game, not every game has to be for everyone, Something that Cain even says in his review.
Their claims to be a fan of the previous From Software games and had held his beliefs about an easy mode across all of them.
Is the game disrespecting the players by not having an easy mode?
Or is Their is disrespecting artists by demanding an easy mode ?
